We all long deeply for love and to be really close and intimate to another. Yet within us we also carry many deeply held protective behaviours and beliefs that undermine our attempts to have the closeness we desire. We seem to push away that which we most desire and are left feeling there is so much more that could be experienced with another.  Disillusioned and disconnected we find ourselves inhabiting only the peripheries of intimate connection.

This weekend workshop opens us up to the deeper realms of intimacy. We work on becoming more energetically attuned to ourselves and through this, develop a deeper sensitivity and empathy to ourselves and others. We practice finding pathways to deeper intimacy through communication that is emotionally honest and connected. We work with bringing mindfulness to our shifting feelings and learning to name these as we attune ourselves to the ˜felt sense of our bodies. We also explore the beautiful and often missed dimensions of non-verbal connection with another.

The workshop helps us recognise the many ways how we ˜block intimacy and allows us to move beyond these, as we meet these places with compassion and understanding. It gives a greater capacity and comfort to share our deeper selves with another, to also receive them and supports us to mine the considerable richness deep intimacy can bring to relationships.

The workshops is both experiential and educational in approach as we recognize that theory alone wont resolve our relationship issues. We work on creating a very safe and accepting environment in which to explore these sensitive areas. Using guided meditations, experiential exercises, sharing and self inquiry, the work gradually gives us a pathway to having rich and satisfying relationships with another.

Workshops are non-residential and are open to both singles and couples. The workshops are facilitated by Craig Tunnell and Vasumati Hancock. There is no pre-requisite to attending this workshop in terms of other Creating Love workshops.

Facilitators:

Craig Tunnell has worked as a therapist and group facilitator for the past 16 years. He is a supervising teacher and Head of Training for the Hoffman Process, an intensive eight day program that deals with healing the negative impact of conditioning and experiences from the family of origin. He teaches and trains with this internationally.
Craig also works in private practice with individuals and couples, employing an approach that is humanistic at heart and which encompasses both Eastern and Western approaches. He is fascinated by the challenge relationship provides; combining our need for individual truth and expression alongside our needs for intimacy and connectedness.

Vasumati Hancock has been a therapist for 30 years, working in the field of relationships, sexuality, tantra and couples. She has trained extensively in the field of codependency and addictions, and has studied with John Bradshaw in the USA.
Vasumati combines her approach with the meditative disciplines of the Eastern religions and the result is a unique synthesis of Eastern and Western approaches to understanding the human condition, that is both effective and holistic.
In addition to facilitating seminars, workshops and training programs world wide, Vasumati works in private practice as relationship counsellor, sex therapist and life coach. Her passion is to work with relating issues because that is where there is the most heart and presence. The journey is to bring love and meditation together.
