The gift of betrayal

Affairs of the heart

Eve Wood, therapist and author of four other self help books, wrote this after she discovered her husband had being having an affair and unprotected sex with her and the other person(s) involved. Which proves two things. She knows a lot about betrayal and even the best, most qualified of us, can make bad choices in relationships.

Getting through the crisis

This is really a practical guide, for anyone who is recovering from having their heart broken and wondering how they could possibly contributed to creating such a situation. Eve writes it as a blend of her own experience and what she learned about herself, and her knowledge as therapist who has helped many other women facing a similar crisis.

Girl power

There is a lot of great information and it’s written in a very direct, positive way. There’s also a lot of emphasis on not being a victim in a situation where you might have been treated like one. ¬†Eve is big on girl power and girlfriends as a way out of the hurt. There is also more than a little hint of,’ revenge by publishing’ towards her ex (tho’ it’s entertaining to read). And maybe too much detail about her thrill at her newly discovered sexuality and hot new partner ( clearly she’s having a great time in the sack after a long time in a marital sexual desert).

Guidance and tools

That aside, there are heaps of interactive exercises to help you move on and up after a devastating blow to your love life. Buy it if you or someone you care about is broken hearted after a bust up.

We have five copies of The Gift of Betrayal to give away. If you would like to win one, please email us below with the title Betrayal on your email.
